In the article "Problems of Gender and History in the Teaching of "Things Fall Apart,"" by Cobham, Rhonda, Bloom, Harold, it talks about the different feelings that a teacher and class had over the book. There were different personalties in this article and different feelings about the book. Some agreed that the part about beating your wife was outrageous while others understood and realize that that was the tradition in that african town. The article goes in depth about the book and how it relates to the bible.The articles continue to say how achebe is sexist for writing this book and Emecheta of being historically inaccurate and how in the end they should change the name of the book.
